So that’s what Netflix does to my bandwidth in the past four days, I can’t say that I like it though. A couple of days ago I read a story in the news paper where this business man let his kids watch Netflix on his laptop for a week or so (streaming movies takes about 400 mb). Anyways, when he got his bill, it was straggering $10,000; but he was able to get it down to $1,000 when he told his internet provider his situation. I’m going to have to tell my niece she can’t watch it all the time; my internet provider doesn’t have an unlimited plan. Hell just last year, Canada’s internet was threatened by nasty bill presented by Bell and the CRTC that would make us pay more for less bandwidth. Hell, even in the United States AT& T is throttling their unlimited plan users because they are using to much bandwidth. Why did I get into this who bandwidth topic; I don’t know, it just really bothers me when people don’t understand what bandwidth really is.
Here’s the article that I mentioned.
